All through her life, Abigail Spenser Hu had always been a lifelong artist. Much of her focus stemmed from the visual realm, but she has always acknowledged that sounds have always been part of the equation. Music helps her navigate her life towards multi-dimensional layers, allowing her to enjoy an inspiring life full of art and wonder.

Initially born in China, Abigail Spenser Hu acquired her world-class education from Canada and the United States. She has constantly been trotting the globe solidifying herself as a nomadic artist and a citizen of the world. In the wake of the global pandemic, Abigail has been continuing to flex her creative muscle, using much of her time cooped up at her home in Los Angeles to polish her debut project.

When asked how “Inward” came to be, Abigail Spenser Hu says that the need to feel music suddenly resonated with her while she was painting two years ago. “I hit obstacles to express my truth just through visual expression while spontaneously began really connecting with the idea of sound vibrations as an extension of the emotional way I see,” explains Abigail. “Writing songs for me is about tapping into my deepest emotions and channeling them in a way that feels freeing. My songs are all about tapping into self-expression,” she added.

Her new track, “Inward,” blends together a narrative involving love, trust, and emancipation. Feeling the depth of emotion from personal empowerment, Abigail acknowledges the feeling deep within her soul, “The need of gettin’ loud, a little more,” she poetically muses.

The chorus of the song runs deep as Abigail’s emotions well up, and she sings the words, “Cause I got you, right in my hands. No need to be scared, and if you feel alone, I’ll get you through somehow. Baby, stand up now. I got you.” Weaponizing her way with words as she tears through her audience’s emotions with a single line filled with trust, passion, and triumph.

All in all, Abigail Spenser Hu’s debut project is one to remember. “Inward” cements the acclaimed music artist’s place within the music industry with her beautiful voice and emotional lyricism.

The pettiness of fame and fortune doesn’t interest the artist within Abigail. In the near future, she sees herself uplifting others rather than becoming a full-fledged celebrity. “I don’t really care about becoming famous; that’s not my goal. I want to share good art through music with people, and if I can help their day become better or uplift their emotions in any capacity, I could consider my career fruitful,” she explains. “To change the world for the better, I want to be influential in some way,” she adds.
